В сенате США заявили о «движении» к наземной операции против Ирана

США движутся к началу сухопутной операции в Иране. Такое заявление сделал американский сенатор-демократ Ричард Блюменталь после закрытого брифинга в сенате по операции «Эпическая ярость». Трансляция опубликована на Youtube-канале Forbes Breaking News.

«Я вышел с этого брифинга настолько неудовлетворенным и сердитым, как ни после одного другого за мои 15 лет в сенате. И, думаю, больше всего меня беспокоит угроза жизням американцев.Похоже, что мы движемся по пути к размещению американских войск на земле в Иране», — сказал сенатор.

Он добавил, что по итогам брифинга у него «больше вопросов, чем ответов», особенно о стоимости войны США в Иране.

Президент США Дональд Трамп ранее не исключил возможность проведения наземной операции в Иране. Американский лидер говорил, что если власти Исламской республики сохранят контроль над страной, Штаты будут готовы «направить наземные силы».

Кроме того, Axios со ссылкой на четыре источника писал, что Трамп рассматривает возможность отправки в Иран американского спецназа для «обеспечения безопасности» иранских запасов обогащенного урана. Хозяин Белого дома публично допускал отправку сил специального назначения для захвата запасов обогащенного урана.
