Կանադան մտադիր Է 10 հազար Բրաունինգի ատրճանակ փոխանցել Ուկրաինային․ Ottawa Citizen

Կանադայի իշխանությունները չեն ուտիլիզացնում Երկրորդ համաշխարհային պատերազմի ժամանակների «Բրաունինգ» (Browning Hi-Power) տեսակի մնացած ատրճանակները, քանի որ կարող են դրանք մատակարարել Ուկրաինային։ Օտտավան դեռ պատասխան չի ստացել Կիևից՝ արդյոք դրանք անհրաժեշտ են Ուկրաինայի զինված ուժերին, թե ոչ։ Այս մասին հայտնել է Ottawa Citizen թերթը՝ հղում անելով իր աղբյուրներին։

Պարբերականի տեղեկություններով՝ Կանադայի իշխանությունները դեռ 2022 թվականին որոշում էին կայացրել ուտիլիզացնել մոտ 11 հազար հնացած ատրճանակ, սակայն երկու տարի անց որոշել են 10,5 հազար միավոր զենք ուղարկել Ուկրաինա։ Այնուամենայնիվ, թերթի զրուցակիցների տվյալներով, մատակարարումները մինչ օրս չեն սկսվել, քանի որ Օտտավան դեռ սպասում է հաստատմանն այն մասին, որ Կիևին անհրաժեշտ են Երկրորդ համաշխարհային պատերազմի ժամանակների ատրճանակները։

Browning Hi-Power ատրճանակի արտադրությունը սկսվել է դեռևս 1935 թվականին։ Ողջ ժամանակահատվածում արտադրվել է ավելի քան 1 միլիոն միավոր։ Կանադայի իշխանությունները սկսել են ուտիլիզացնել հնացած ատրճանակները 2022 թվականից հետո, երբ երկրի պաշտպանության նախարարությունը սկսել է գնել զենքի նոր մոդելներ։ Գերատեսչությունը հավաստիացրել է, որ ուտիլիզացիայից կխուսափեն միայն մի քանի հարյուր օրինակներ, որոնք կփոխանցվեն թանգարաններին։

Ընդհանուր առմամբ, 2022 թվականի փետրվարից ի վեր Օտտավան Կիևին է փոխանցել ավելի քան 4,5 միլիարդ կանադական դոլարի (3,2 միլիարդ ԱՄՆ դոլար) ռազմական օգնություն։ Կանադան նաև մասնակցում է Ուկրաինայի համար ԱՄՆ-ից սպառազինությունների գնման PURL ծրագրին։
