Ցեղասպանությունից փրկված հայուհու թոռը դարձել է աշխարհի ամենահարուստ սաուդցի արքայազնը.

Սաուդյան թագավորական ընտանիքի անդամ՝ արքայազն ալ-Վալիդ իբն Թալալ իբն Աբդել Ազիզ ալ-Սաուդը, ով առավել հայտնի է որպես արքայազն ալ-Վալիդ, համարվում է աշխարհի ամենահարուստ մարդկանց մեկը, ում՝ միլիարդների հասնող ունեցվածքը մեծանում օրեցօր։
Ապագա միլիարդատերը ծնվել է 1955 թվականին, Ջիդդա քաղաքում՝սաուդցի արքայազն Թալալի և լիբանանցի Մոնա ալ-Սոլհիի ընտանիքում։ Ալ-Վալիդի պապը եղել է Սաուդյան Արաբիայի հիմնադիրը՝ երկրի առաջին թագավոր Աբդել Ազիզ իբն Սաուդը, ով արդեն պատկառելի տարիքում կնության է վերցրել Հայոց ցեղասպանության տարիներին փրկված հայուհու՝ Մունայիր անունով։
«Մունայիրը 12 տարեկանում արդեն ներկայացվել է իբն Սաուդին, իսկ շուտով դարձել սաուդցի կառավարչի սիրելի կինը և նրա համար երկու որդի լույս աշխարհ բերել՝ Թալալին և Նավաֆին»,-ասվում է Սաուդյան Արաբիայի հարցերով հայտնի մասնագետ Ջոզեֆ Քեշիշյանի «Իշխանությունն ու իրավահաջորդությունն արաբական միապետություններում, 2008թ» գրքում՝ հայտնում է rusarminfo-ն։
Սաուդցի արքայազն իր պատանեկությունն ու երիտասարդությունն անցկացրել է ԱՄՆ-ում, որտեղ ստացել է Մենլո քոլեջի բակալավրի աստիճան (Աթերթոն, Կալիֆորնիա)։ Բացի այդ, նա մագիստրոսի աստիճան է ստացել Սիրակուզի համալսարանում (Նյու Յորք)՝ PR գծով։ Ավելի ուշ նա փիլիսոփայության դոկտորի աստիճան է ստացել Էկսեթերի միջազգային համալսարանում (Մեծ Բրիտանիա)։
Դեռևս 1980-ականների սկզբին նա սկսել է զբաղվել ձեռնարկատիրական գործունեությամբ՝ կապեր հաստատելով Արևմուտքի և Սաուդյան Արաբիայի միջև։ Արքայազնի նախաձեռնությամբ ստեղծվել է միջազգային Kingdom Holding Company կորպորացիան, որը զբաղվում է աշխարհում խոշորագույն ներդրումային նախագծերով։
Այնուհետև նա սկսել է մասնաբաժիններ ձեռք բերել խոշորագույն միջազգային ֆինանսական City Group կոնգլոմերատում, News Corporation-ում, AOL-ում, Apple-ում, MCI-ում, Motorola-ում, Fox Broadcasting-ում։ 2011 թվականին նա 300 մլն դոլարի ներդրում է արել Twitter-ում։
Նրա գործունեության աշխարհագրությունն ու ոլորտները մշտապես ընդլայնվում են՝ ֆինանսական շուկայից ու մեդիաինդուստրիայից հասնելով
2008 թվականին Times ամսագիրը ներառել էր նրան աշխարհի ամենաազդեցիկ 100 մարդկանց ցուցակում, իսկ Forbes-ի վարկածով արքայազնն աշխարհի ամենահարուստ 50 մարդկանցից մեկն է։ 2016 թվականին նրա կարողությունը գնահատվել է 17.3 մլրդ դոլար։
Արքայազնը երբեք պետական պաշտոններ չի զբաղեցրել Սաուդյան Արաբիայում։ Վերջին շրջանում մամուլում տեղեկություններ են շրջանառվում, որ Սաուդյան Արաբիայի թագավորը Իսրայելի հետ հարաբերություններ հաստատելուց հետո մտադիր է միլիարդատեր զարմիկին թագավորության դեսպան նշանակել այդ երկրում.
