Հայաստանի քննչական կոմիտեի Երևան քաղաքի քննչական վարչության հատկապես կարևոր գործերով ավագ քննիչ Արմեն Ճանճապանյանի որոշմամբ որպես կասկածյալ է ներգրավվել Երևան քաղաքի 16-րդ թաղամասի բնակիչ, 37-ամյա Հարություն Մելոյանը։ Ինչպես հայտնում է ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանը, վերջինս կասկածվում է հունվարի 3-ին Երևան քաղաքում իր վարած Toyota Camry մակնիշի ավտոմեքենայով հետիոտներ՝ Երևան քաղաքի Կիևյան փողոցի 7-րդ շենքի բնակիչ, 28-ամյա Մուշ Գասպարյանին և նույն փողոցի 5-րդ շենքի բնակիչ, 27-ամյա Ռազմիկ Առաքելյանին վրաերթի ենթարկելու մեջ։ Մ. Գասպարյանը հարվածի արդյունքում մոտ 80 մետր շպրտվել էր և տեղում մահացել, իսկ Ռ. Առաքելյանը մարմնական վնասվածքներով տեղափոխվել էր «Արմենիա» բժշկական կենտրոն։ Երեկ՝ հունվարի 4-ին, վերջինս հիվանդանոցից տեղափոխվել է տուն, սակայն տևական ժամանակ բուժումն անցկացնելու է տնային պայմաններում։ ՀԿԳ ավագ քննիչ Ա. Ճանճապանյանի որոշմամբ նշանակվել են մի շարք փորձաքննություններ, այդ թվում՝ դիակի դատաբժշկական, դատաավտոտեխնիկական, հետքաբանական, մատնադրոշմային և այլն։ Ֆոտոլրագրողը հայտնում է նաև, որ մահացած Մ. Գասպարյանը երիտասարդ տարիքին մեծ հարգանք էր վայելում ինչպես բարեկամների, ընկերների, այնպես էլ հարևանների շրջանում։ Ամուսնացած էր, խնամքին ուներ մանկահասակ աղջիկ երեխա։
