Գիտնականները հայտնաբերել են ձկան հազվադեպ տեսակ, որն անհետացած էր համարվում

Գիտնականները հայտնաբերել են անհետացած համարվող ձկան տեսակ՝ սեզոնային կիլիֆիշ ձուկ Moema claudiae-ն Բոլիվիայում, տեղեկացրել է Science Advanves-ը։

Հայտնագործությունը հույս է ներշնչում ոչ միայն ձկան, այլեւ խոցելի ջրաճահճային էկոհամակարգերի պահպանման մասին, որոնցից նա կախված է։

Ավելի քան 20 տարի Moema claudiae-ն չէր նկատվել։ Նրա սկզբնական միջավայրը քայքայվել էր եւ վերածվել գյուղատնտեսական հողերի, իսկ բազմաթիվ որոնումները արդյունք չէին տվել։ Արդյունքում՝ տեսակը դասակարգվել էր որպես ծայրահեղ վտանգված՝ ըստ IUCN չափանիշների, եւ համարվել էր, որ հնարավոր է, որ այն անհետացած լինի։

Բեկումը տեղի ունեցավ վերջերս անցկացված արշավի ժամանակ, երբ հետազոտողներ Հայնց Առնո Դրավերտը եւ Թոմաս Օտտո Լիթցը հայտնաբերեցին Moema claudiae-ի կենդանի պոպուլյացիա անտառի փոքրիկ, ժամանակավոր լճակում՝ գյուղատնտեսական հողերի մեջ։ Սա տեսակի առաջին հաստատված դիտարկումն է երկու տասնամյակի ընթացքում։ Գիտնականները կարողացան առաջին անգամ լուսանկարել ձկանը կենդանի, ուսումնասիրել նրա վարքագիծը եւ իմանալ նոր փաստեր տեսակի կենսաբանության մասին։

Թոմաս Լիթցը բացահայտումն անվանեց անձնական եւ գիտական ​​​​իրադարձություն. «Ինձ համար սա հատուկ պահ է. մենք հնարավորություն ունենք պահպանելու Moema claudiae-ն իր բնական միջավայրում։ Հատկապես ուրախալի է, որ տեսակն անվանակոչվել է պրոֆեսոր Ուիլսոն Կոստայի կողմից՝ ի պատիվ իր կնոջ՝ Կլաուդիայի»։

Գիտնականները նաեւ նշել են, որ հայտնաբերված տարածքը առանձնանում է բացառիկ կենսաբազմազանությամբ. Moema claudiae-ի հետ մեկտեղ այնտեղ բնակվում են սեզոնային կիլիֆիշների եւս վեց տեսակներ, ինչն այս պոպուլյացիան դարձնում է աշխարհում գենետիկորեն ամենաբազմազանը։ Տարածքը գտնվում է ամազոնյան անտառի եւ Լյանոս դե Մոխոս սավաննաների միջեւ անցումային գոտում՝ ստեղծելով եզակի կենսապայմաններ բազմաթիվ տեսակների համար։

Հայտնաբերումից հետո հետազոտողները կոչ են արել անհապաղ միջոցներ ձեռնարկել նրանց միջավայրի պաշտպանության համար։ Այս տարածքը Moema claudiae-ի վայրի պոպուլյացիայի միակ հայտնի վայրն է եւ կիլիֆիշների բազմազանության կարեւոր գլոբալ կենտրոն։ Վերջին 25 տարիների ընթացքում Բոլիվիան կորցրել է գրեթե 10 միլիոն հեկտար անտառ, այդ թվում՝ կրիտիկական ջրային ճահճուտներ,  իսկ էկոհամակարգի ոչնչացման սպառնալիքը մեծանում է։
