Բրիտանական ազդեցությունը աճում է Հարավային Կովկասում

Կովկասում արագընթաց զարգացումներին զուգընթաց տարածաշրջանում փորձում են ազդեցություն ձեռք բերել ոչ միայն ԱՄՆ-ը և Եվրամիությունը, այլ նաև Միացյալ Թագավորությունը, ընդ որում, հաշվի առնելով բրիտանական կապերը Ադրբեջանի հետ, ինչպես նաև Ադրբեջանին և Թուրքիային պաշտոնական Լոնդոնի կողմից պարբերաբար տրվող աջակցությունը, չափազանց մտահոգիչ է, որ անգլո-սաքսոնական ներգրավվածությունը մեր տարածաշրջանում ահռելի չափերի է հասել։

Բրիտանական հատուկ ծառայության ղեկավարներից հետո երեկ էլ Հայաստան է այցելել Մեծ Բրիտանիայի և Հյուսիսային Իռլանդիայի Միացյալ Թագավորության պաշտպանության պետնախարար Վերնոն Քոքերի գլխավորած պատվիրակությունը, որը հանդիպել է Սուրեն Պապիկյանին և Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին։ Քննարկել են պաշտպանության ոլորտում Հայաստան-Միացյալ Թագավորության համագործակցությանը վերաբերող հարցեր։ Բրիտանական պատվիրակության հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ Փաշինյանը ընդգծել է 2 երկրների միջև վերջին շրջանում առկա ակտիվ երկխոսության և համագործակցության փաստը։

Վերնոն Քոքերը Երևանում նաև պաշտոնապես բացել է Հայաստանում Մեծ Բրիտանիայի առաջին մշտական Պաշտպանության բաժինը։ Ըստ դեսպանության, այս կարևոր քայլը արտացոլում է Մեծ Բրիտանիայի երկարաժամկետ հանձնառությունը աջակցել Հայաստանի պաշտպանական կարողություններին, ինքնիշխանությանը և անվտանգությանը։ Այս տարվա հոկտեմբերին Բրիտանիան հայտարարեց, որ վերացնում է Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի նկատմամբ զենքի մատակարարման էմբարգոն, օգոստոսին էլ երկու երկրները համաձայնել էին բարձրացնել հարաբերությունները ռազմավարական գործընկերության մակարդակի։ Թե ինչով է զբաղվելու այդ Պաշտպանության բաժինը, դեռևս հայտնի չէ։

Պաշտոնապես ներկայացվող պատճառաբանությունը, թե այն օգնելու է բարձրացնել Հայաստանի պաշտպանական կարողությունները, այնքան էլ հավատարժան չեն թվում։ Փոխարենը Լոնդոնը ցանկանում է հարմար տեղավորվել տարածաշրջանում, Միացյալ Նահանգների հետ միասին վերահսկողություն սահմանելով այսպես կոչված «Թրամփի միջանցքի» նկատմամբ, որը ապագայում դառնալու է առանցքային կարևորություն ունեցող կապուղի։

Բրիտանիան շատ ավելի վատ հարաբերություններ ունի Ռուսաստանի հետ, քան անգամ Եվրամիության երկրներն ու ԱՄՆ-ը, ուստի բրիտանական այս ակտիվությունը նոր վտանգներ կարող է ներկայացնել Հայաստանի Հանրապետության համար։
