Ընտանիքի անդամներն իրենց ձեղնահարկում գտել են «Սուպերմենի» 1-ին կոմիքսը, որը աճուրդում վաճառվել է ռեկորդային՝ 9.12 միլիոն դոլարով

Կալիֆոռնիայում պատահական հայտնագործությունը վերածվել է ռեկորդի։ Սուպերմեն #1-ի 1939 թվականի օրինակը, որը գրեթե 85 տարի պահվել էր հին թերթերի տակ գտնվող տուփի մեջ, դարձավ աճուրդում վաճառված ամենաթանկ կոմիքսը։ Այն վաճառվեց 9.12 միլիոն դոլարով։

Հայտնագործության պատմությունը կարող էր ֆիլմի վերածվել. Հյուսիսային Կալիֆոռնիայից երեք եղբայրներ մոր մահից հետո մաքրում էին իրենց ձեղնահարկը և գտան մի տուփ, որի գոյության մասին գրեթե մոռացել էին։ Ներսում կար վաղ շրջանի կոմիքսների հավաքածու, որոնց մասին մայրը մի անգամ պատմել էր նրանց, բայց հազվադեպ էր ցույց տալիս։

Գտածոների թվում էին Action Comics-ի հինգ վաղ շրջանի համարներ՝ հենց այն շարքը, որն առաջին անգամ աշխարհին ծանոթացրեց Սուպերմենին։ Բայց գլխավոր զարդը «Սուպերմեն #1»-ն էր՝ Քլարկ Քենթի առաջին անհատական համարը։

Կոմիքսը, որը սկզբում վաճառվել էր 10 ցենտով, այնքան լավ վիճակում էր, որ Heritage Auctions-ն այն անվանեց ամենահայտնի օրինակը։ Մասնագետները նշեցին, որ այն պատկանում է DC-ի առաջին կես միլիոն օրինակից բաղկացած տպագրությանը՝ անհավանական հազվագյուտ բան։

Աճուրդի տան տարածած հայտարարության մեջ կրտսեր եղբայրը խոստովանում է. «Մեզ համար սա պարզապես հավաքածուի իր չէ։ Սա ընտանեկան հիշողություն է, և այն մասին է, թե ինչպես է անցյալը անսպասելիորեն վերադառնում»։

Նա բացատրում է, որ մանկության տարիներին կոմիքսները նրանց «հանգիստ փախուստն» էին փոքրիկ բնակարանում, որտեղ մեծացել են երեք տղաներով։ Տուփը տասնամյակներ շարունակ ընկած էր ձեղնահարկի հեռավոր անկյունում՝ մոռացված մեծահասակների եռուզեռի մեջ, մինչև որ անցյալ ձմռանը «գտավ իր ճանապարհը»։

Վաճառքից հետո Heritage Auctions-ը արդյունքն անվանեց պատմական. «Սուպերմեն #1-ը փոփ մշակույթի նվաճում է։ Եվ այս ստեղծագործությունը կատարյալ փոթորիկ է՝ վիճակ, հազվագյուտություն և ֆիլմի արժանի պատմություն»,-ասել է փոխնախագահ Լոն Ալենը։
