Հարավային Կովկասում տարածաշրջանային կայունությունը կախված կլինի նրանից, թե ինչպես են հիմնական խաղացողները կառավարում ուժերի դինամիկան և վերահսկում Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև խաղաղության գործընթացը, գրում է Newsweek-ը։

Ինչպես հիշեցնում է պարբերականը, Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը հայտարարել է, որ ադրբեջանական բանակը համապատասխանեցվել է ՆԱՏՕ-ի չափանիշներին, ընդգծելով այդ գործընթացի շրջանակներում թուրքական զինվորականների հետ սերտ համագործակցությունը և կարևորելով Ադրբեջանի և Հյուսիսատլանտյան դաշինքի միջև կապերի ամրապնդումը, ասվում է պատվիրակությունների հետ հանդիպման արդյունքներով նախագահի հայտարարության մեջ։ ՆԱՏՕ-ի հետ Ադրբեջանի համագործակցությունը սկսվել է 1994 թվականին, երբ երկիրը միացել է «Գործընկերություն հանուն խաղաղության» ծրագրին, որը ՆԱՏՕ-ի նախաձեռնությունն էր՝ ուղղված Արևելյան Եվրոպայի և նախկին Խորհրդային Միության երկրներին։

Ռուս ռազմական վերլուծաբանները զգուշացնում են, որ Ադրբեջանը կարող է խորհրդային դարաշրջանի մարտական ձեռնարկներն ու ռազմական կառույցները փոխարինել ՆԱՏՕ-ի մեթոդներով, ընդ որում, ակնկալվում է, որ Բաքուն կարագացնի վերազինման և արևմտյան զենքի գնման գործընթացը, հաղորդում է «Վզգլյադ»-ը։

Ռուս վերլուծաբանները նշում են, որ Ադրբեջանի ռազմական արդիականացումը ՆԱՏՕ-ի չափանիշներով կարող է ազդարարել ապագա անդամակցության հայտի մասին, թեև Բաքուն պաշտոնական դիմում չի ներկայացրել։

Ռուսաստանի համար մեկ այլ խնդիր է Ադրբեջանի սերտ կողմնորոշումը դեպի ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամ Թուրքիան, ինչը կարող է ուժեղացնել Ռուսաստանի և նրա դաշնակից Իրանի հետ Հարավային Կովկասում առկա լարվածությունը։

Թուրքիան աջակցել է Ադրբեջանին Հայաստանի հետ երկարատև հակամարտության ընթացքում, որը ստացել է Ռուսաստանի աջակցությունը և հյուրընկալել է ռուսական ռազմաբազա: Ալիևը հոկտեմբերին Տաջիկստանում հանդիպել է Ռուսաստանի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի հետ՝ 2024 թվականի դեկտեմբերին ռուսական հրթիռով «Ադրբեջանական ավիաուղիներ» ավիաընկերության ինքնաթիռի խոցման և 38 մարդու մահվան պատճառ դարձած լարվածությունից հետո:

Ռուսաստանի հետ հարաբերությունների պահպանումը մնում է կարևոր Ադրբեջանի համար, որը ամուր գործարար և ներդրումային կապեր ունի Մոսկվայի հետ և վերահսկում է հիմնական տարանցիկ երթուղին, որը Հյուսիս-Հարավ միջազգային տրանսպորտային միջանցքով Ռուսաստանը կապում է Իրանի հետ։ Միևնույն ժամանակ, Բաքվի գործընկերային հարաբերությունները արևմտյան երկրների հետ որպես պաշտպանություն են ծառայում Մոսկվայի ազդեցությունից, գրում է ԶԼՄ-ն։
