The Power of One Dram Turns Five

On September 5, IDBank and Idram celebrated the five-year anniversary of their Corporate Social Responsibility program, “The Power of One Dram.” The event brought together representatives of partner organizations, charitable foundations, leaders in the field of philanthropy and social responsibility, as well as individuals inspired by the mission of “The Power of One Dram.”

In her opening speech, Tatevik Vardevanyan, Head of the Communication and Social Responsibility Programs Department of IDBank and Idram, emphasized:
“For many years we have been implementing programs aimed at creating a better environment. This is not just charity — it is, first and foremost, our responsibility.”

Then, the guests were presented with the strategic directions outlined in the companies’ Social Responsibility Policy. These include - financial education, digital literacy, regional development, environmental protection, inclusion, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, social support, employee welfare and protection of rights․ For many years, IDBank and Idram have been actively working in these areas and will continue to pursue even more targeted initiatives in the future. When defining these directions, the companies were guided by the findings of a comprehensive study they conducted, which revealed that it is precisely in these areas that society most expects businesses to drive positive and sustainable change.

The second part of the event was dedicated to presenting the programs implemented over the past five years within the framework of “The Power of One Dram”, as well as the outcomes of other CSR initiatives of the Companies. Among them were the “Side by Side” support program for the people of Artsakh, the “Financially Literate with IDram and IDBank” campaign, and the “Let’s Do Good” initiative. The numbers speak for themselves: more than 500,000,000 drams, over 10 sectors, dozens of foundations, and hundreds of programs — behind which stand human destinies and success stories. 

The main highlight of the day was the panel discussion titled “The Power of One Dram is 5 Years Old”. The speakers reflected on the essence of Corporate Social Responsibility and discussed the impact and significance of “The Power of One Dram” within this broader context.

In the closing speech of the event, Arsen Kdenyan, Director of Idram, emphasized that the company’s activities have always been guided not only by technological development and business profit, but also by the idea of being useful to society։ “We believe that the true value of a business is measured not only by financial indicators, but also by the impact it has on people’s lives. The programs implemented by Idram, and especially The Power of One Dram, are tangible proof of that belief.”

Mher Abrahamyan, Chairman of the Board of IDBank, expressed gratitude to the attendees, customers, partners, and the team for believing in the idea of The Power of One Dram and making it a reality every day։ “Today we presented our main directions of Social Responsibility. We believe that step by step, by investing in the very areas where people expect us, we will be able to truly change our country and our society for the better.”

The festive event concluded with a special awards ceremony, during which the best partner organizations, as well as the most active users who had made the highest number of payments via the Idram&IDBank app, were recognized and honored.
